Optional UTME-Mock Examination

JAMB offers mock examination for candidates who will participate in the actual UTME. Although the mock examination is not compulsory for students, but it may be necessary as it prepares candidates toward the main exam.

If you want to be part of the mock exam, you can indicate your interest while registering for the UTME online. It costs N700; this covers needed expenses. The fee should be paid at the center, not bank.

An extra fee of N700 is charged if you wish to write the mock exam during the main jamb exam. This would cover the cost that’s will be incurred on the JAMB mock exam.

Where and How to Obtain Jamb Registration Form – How to Register JAMB – Step by Step Guide

Jamb profile creation :

To create a JAMB profile for the session is simple. You will need a private SIM card. Don’t share with with another person or another JAMB candidate. Important information about your exams will be forwarded to your SIM card. Don’t take this for granted.

To create a jamb profile you need to follow this option :

This is the first step. Text your Surname, First name , and Midd name (if you have any) to 55019 by SMS. The maximum characters allowed for the text is on 40. For example, let’s say this is your full name: Aminu Jide Olu (Surname, First name, Middle/other name), text that to the code 55019.

Once successful, this simple action would immediately send you, by text message, a special Profile Code. This code has 10 characters. Write it down for future reference.

Self Help in Case of Mistake/Loss of Profile Code:

In the attempt to register for a profile code or the general JAMB registration , error(s) may occur. Anybody can make a mistake.

If your made a mistake in the process of securing your JAMB profile, you can always apply for the correction.

To correct an error, resend your correct Surname, First name, and Middle name to 55019. Make sure your text with the same SIM card.

Lost profile code retrieval:

Do you missed your Profile Code and would like to retrieve it back? You problem is already solved.

No need to panic. Simply text RESEND to 55019. That’s it. You will receive a text message in a shirt time about your new profile code. Make sure that your text with the same SIM card.

REGISTRATION PROCESS AT CBT Centres :

After you generate your JAMB e-pin using any of the methods listed above, pay a visit to an accredited CBT Center. Anyone close to you. While you are at the center, present you e-pin to the CBT operator.

He/she will help you begin the registeration process online, on the JAMB’s portal.

Please make sure you use an accredited CBT Center. It is very important. Verify thoroughly.

Candidates should take note of this and use accordingly:

You must provide your correct bio data to the CBT operator. For example, your full name, O’ Level results, date of birth, L.G.A., address, and state of origin.
A service charge by all JAMB accredited centers is only N700 per candidate. Anything more than this is not allowed.
Provide them information such as the choice of institution you would like to study. The same goes for your choice of examination subjects and town.
Indicate in the registeration form if you would like to undergo the mock exam or not. It’s not compulsory though, but it prepares you for the main exam.
The biometric enrollment, which captures your 10 fingerprints, is a must. Please don’t ignore this process.
A live picture of you will also be captured. Scanning of pictures is not allowed.
Check and confirm your details. Look out for any error and correct. Don’t be in a hurry.
Finally, collect your e-slip after a successful registration.

In a bid to make registeration process of the coming UTME easier for candidates who are not currently in Nigeria, JAMB now allows them register outside the country.

The first step is for these candidates download the UTME application form online (from www.jamb.gov.ng). This will make it faster. They can further process the online form using the EIGHT centers partnering with JAMB. Some embassies were listed above. Please check them.

How to Recover Lost ePIN after Payment:

This to make occur. A candidate may lost his/her ePIN after paying for it. Well, if this is the case for you, you d not need to generate another one.

Just do this to retrieve your ePIN. Text UTMEPIN or DEPIN 55019. This should work for you, regardless of the JAMB program (Direct Entry or UTME). Your ePIN be retrieved and resend to you. Make sure your use the same SIM card to text.

JAMB often bring in new materials for candidates every year. Some times, it could be a Novel where questions are derived from it. For the coming 2024/2025 JAMB exam, a Novel has been approved titled Sweet Sixteen. “In Independence” was the material for last year. The next could favour “Sweet Sixteen”.

JAMB General Entry Requirements

Candidates who want to use the Direct Entry process will need to have this requirement:

O’Level results must not be more than two sittings. A minimum of five credits pass in relevant subjects are allowed – English and must be included.

Candidates should have not less than 2 passes if they are using advanced level courses like IJMB, JUPEB or Institute of Baccalaureate from recognized institutions, Cambridge moderated Schools of Basic Studies Terminal Examination, or SSCE/GCE, NTS/NBC credits equivalent in three other subjects in subject that relevant to university requirements – and others.

Lower credit grade is the minimum requirement for ND program or the National Innovation Diploma plus the O Level results.

Also, candidates are to prov their JAMB registeration numbers during the registration process.

Passes in 2 main subjects of NCE plus 3 other subjects in NTC/NBC, S.S.C.E credits and their equivalents. Other educational courses, and ND may be accepted for a third A’Level subject if your course is related to education.
