In a maximum of two sittings, your O’level result or equivalent must have at least 5 recognized credit passes.
The approved subjects must include English, Mathematics, and any other three courses, depending on the subject combination of the required course of study.
You need to register for JAMB, pass the exam, and meet the JAMB cut-off mark set for your course. This will make you eligible to take the institutional PostUTME exam.
Remember that you must obtain an exact PostUTME score, or preferably a better score, in order to maximize your chances of being admitted.
Bayero University, Kano post-UTME cut off mark
The school’s management determines and agrees on the cut-off mark based on the applicant’s annual work results.
Candidates who score at least 180 points in the JAMB examination can apply for one of the selected courses at Bayero University in Kano, which does not have strict course performance limits.
The admission process is highly competitive due to the large number of students applying to study at the school, and admission is based on JAMB and O’Level results.

- Next, login using your UTME Number and UTME total score
- Upload your passport-sized photograph and then make sure to fill in all the necessary fields in the form.
- Print your Personalized Payment Invoice and then use it to pay 2500 naira at any bank branch indicated on the invoice. You can make this payment anywhere in Nigeria
- After payment, return to the website and then log in again. Your payment will be confirmed, and then you can print out your personalized examination card.
How to apply to Bayero University, Kano post UTME screening exercise
- Head to the registration portal and then log in using your UTME Number and Total Score.
- Next, upload your passport-sized photograph and then fill in the Applicants’ Particulars Form. Please note that the uploaded photo will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in the school. Also, make sure you upload your O’level results on the JAMB website
- Print your personalized RRR payment invoice and pay two thousand naira N2, 000 through the Remita platform at any bank branch in Nigeria.
- Now, head back to the school’s website at www.buk.edu.ng after making the payment and then log in again. Your payment will be confirmed, and then you can print your personalized acknowledgment slip. Please check and confirm your information before printing this slip.

Bayero University Kano (BUK) is a Nigerian university that is located in Kano State, Northern of Nigeria.
It was established in 1975 when the school was renamed from Bayero University College and then upgraded from a university college to a university. It is the first university to be built in Kano State.
It is located in a secure area distant from Kano’s economic activities.
Bayero University is one of the state’s most prestigious universities, standing as an institution dedicated to imparting Islamic values in its students.
BUK is affected by typical Kano weather conditions. Kano is one of the largest cities in Nigeria. It has a tropical continental climate and the dry season lasts for seven months (October to May).
